Job Description:

Ibotta is seeking a Strategic Events Manager to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop marketing strategies for events based on research of target audiences, competition, and previous attendance rates

  • Plan, manage and implement the year-round schedule of Ibotta’s B2B events.

  • Work closely with marketing team to develop promotional strategies for events such as advertising, social media campaigns and public relations campaigns

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events based on sales attribution, attendee statistics and feedback.

  • Liaise directly with sales organization and B2B marketing to meet strategic needs, establishing key event objectives and measuring success with an ever present revenue-first mindset.

  • Work creatively to build event concepts that elevate Ibotta’s work in relevant ways to inspire and engage a targeted audience. 

  • Be nimble and resourceful in capitalizing on timely opportunities that may emerge, such as the availability of a content expert, or a VIP host.

  • Own event budgets and budget strategy, including all vendor contracting and supplies purchases.

  • Lead or advise on events projects with several variables, set realistic deadlines, and manage a timeline.

  • Act proactively and independently to prioritize tasks and exercise judgment to identify and solve problems.

  • Ensure programmatic commitments, internal policies, and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance.

  • Coordinate with internal and external partners on engagement planning, scheduling of planning meetings and calls, distribution of meeting notes and follow-through on next steps

  • Manage event registration systems and related communications to drive successful attendance results.

  • Order event-related supplies, maintain organized records, and track expenses.

What we are looking for: 

  • 5 years of meeting planning and event management experience (2-3 years in a corporate environment preferred). CMP Certification is a plus 

  • BA/BS degree required

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Experience with contract negotiations including room blocks, F&B, A/V

  • Experience coordinating projects and planning and managing events

  • Experience managing a budget

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, profit sharing and equity.

  • Base compensation range: $80,000-$100,000. This compensation range is specific only to Colorado and may be adjusted based on actual experience. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary.
